It is the same old story, but it is well worth repeating – beware of the practice of some unscrupulous companies who send letters to EFTTEX exhibitors that could be misconstrued to have come from EFTTA itself.
The communications from companies, including one called EXPO GUIDE SC, ask you to confirm details for its website. This letter is not from EFTTA, and encourages you to advertise on their website and in their brochures.
The letter, once signed, is a binding contract and very difficult to cancel. Companies charge in excess of €1,271 per year – a figure that is only referred to in the small print at the bottom of the page.
The letter includes the names of EFTTEX and EFTTA, but as the company does not state it is working on behalf of EFTTA, there is nothing EFTTA can do to stop them from being sent out.
Please disregard these letters and be advised that EFTTA does not cooperate with such companies. Any information sent out by EFTTA will be on EFTTA or EFTTEX headed paper. If you receive any such letters and are in any doubt, please do not hesitate to get in touch with the EFTTA office.
